Beginning March 18th, All Visitors are Asked to:
- Present COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Status.
- Wear N95/surgical masks
Please Note: Visiting hours are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Only two (2) visitors per patient at a time.
Visitors are asked to check in with Nursing Unit before seeing patients.

PMHD is receiving numerous calls for COVID-19 testing results, which impacts the Emergency Department and Health Centers patient care. We take great care to ensure that your health information is kept private, and we want to provide your test results at the earliest opportunity. You can obtain a copy of your COVID-19 test results by contacting our Medical Records Department as follows:
Please fill out the Authorization for Use and Disclosure of Health Information, found at https://pmhd.org/medical-records/. Once you have completed the form, it can be mailed, emailed or faxed to the Medical Records Department via the email address, fax number or address below, Identification is required. If the authorization is signed by someone other than the patient, supporting identification and/or documents may be necessary.

In an effort to comply with the State Public Health Officer Order, Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District (PMHD) will restrict visitation to all nursing care units (Medical Surgical, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Nursery, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Room), until further notice. The visitor restrictions are intended to protect our patient’s health and limit exposure of the COVID-19 Virus (SARS-CoV-2).
Beginning January 10, 2022, PMHD will not allow visitors into the hospital except in following circumstances:
- Visitors who are visiting a patient in critical condition, when death may be imminent.
- In emergent situations:
(a) Parent or guardian visitor of pediatric patients.
(b) Support person for a labor and delivery patient.
(c) Support person for a person with physical, intellectual, developmental disability, or cognitive impairment.
(d) Person visiting for bonding visits including in-room stay with a newborn and hospitalized parent. - A patient attending an outpatient appointment and person who accompanies a patient to an outpatient appointment in a support capacity is not a visitor in acute health care.
Alternative Methods of Patient Communication and Updates:
Nursing department support with video calls to hospitalized patients.
Patient Room phone can be dialed directly.
Family members can call the hospital operator at 760-351-3333, and request for call to be transferred to nursing unit for updates on patient condition.
Due to recent California Department of Public Health orders related to the Covid-19 pandemic, visitors to Pioneers Memorial Hospital will be asked to follow the limited and temporary public health requirements as established by the state. Please note that compassionate exceptions can be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for end-of-life, cancer care, special needs, disabled and pediatric patients.
Para cumplir con la Orden Pública Estatal de Salud Pública, Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District (PMHD) limitará las visitas a todas las áreas de unidad de cuidado de enfermería (Médico Quirúrgico, Pediatría, Obstetricia, Cuarto de Niños, Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos, Sala de Emergencia), hasta nuevo aviso. La intención de la restricción de visitas es cuidar la salud de nuestros pacientes y limitar la exposición al virus COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2).
A partir del 10 de Enero del 2022, PMHD no permitirá visitas al hospital excepto por las siguientes circunstancias:
1. Visitas a pacientes en estado crítico, cuando la muerte pueda ser inminente.
2. En situaciones de emergencia:
(a) Padre o tutor de pacientes de pediatría.
(b) Persona de apoyo para una paciente en trabajo de parto o que dará a luz.
(c) Persona de apoyo para una persona con impedimentos físicos, intelectuales, discapacidad de desarrollo o discapacidad cognitiva.
(d) Personas que visitan cómo vinculación afectiva que incluyen estancia en cuarto con un recién nacido y un padre hospitalizado.
3. Un paciente que tiene una cita ambulatoria y persona que acompaña a un paciente a una cita ambulatoria en una capacidad de apoyo no es un visitante de salud aguda.

Apoyo al departamento de enfermería con video llamadas a pacientes hospitalizados.

As our nation battles Covid-19, California is experiencing an unprecedented and exponential surge in cases. Staffing and other resources have become strained. Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District (PMHD) seeks to continue to provide high-quality, safe patient care to the community. As such, PMHD has developed SARS-CoV-2 Pandemic Crisis Care Guidelines to manage a medical surge event, which places the facility in crisis-care due to a sudden increase in patients and critical shortages of resources. Requesting Medical Records
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are directing patients to request copies of the records by phone or mail.
Your written Authorization is required before we can fill a request. You can download, print, and complete the form below.
Once you have completed the form, it can be emailed, mailed or faxed to the Medical Records Department via the address or fax number listed below.
