Breastfeeding at PIONEERS

Breastfeeding at PIONEERS is an online support group for expecting and breastfeeding mothers is a way that we can touch base with moms who want to learn from a group setting. Covering frequent concerns in the early days of breastfeeding can help to answer questions and identify concerns as well as educate all participants in “what is normal” for breastfeeding. Support groups offer simple and expert information that can help moms and families handle growth spurts, latch difficulties, slow weight gain, and make sure moms feel comfortable and confident with their feeding decisions. Our plan is to take care of simple questions and concerns online and then meet in person once a month.

Our lactation team is made up of registered nurses with special training, extensive experience, and certification in counseling and assisting breastfeeding mothers. The certified lactation consultant has an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), the gold standard in lactation management credentials. Certification is offered by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE). Please click here for more details: They are available to offer help and expertise to mothers who have made the choice to breastfeed or mothers who have already begun breastfeeding. Lactation consultants work to prevent breastfeeding problems and help the mother find answers and solutions if problems have come up or if they need advice on management of feeding problems.

We look forward to meeting you! Please call for any other questions or how to log in to Facebook live for support group information.
